Chris was responsible for ensuring the design development and execution of the greens, tees, fairways and bunkers met the precise and detailed criteria for a major championship venue.

It has been called a truly magnificent course with more than a hint of the Emerald Isle in its style and personality. It is part of 72 holes of the most diverse golf experience in the world. Chris Lutzke, working with the Pete Dye Team, built this masterpiece.

To ensure that golfers will remember the Irish Course, the Dye Team used every idea they could in routing and sculpting the hole dynamics.
